1) No speeding please, mileage is the key.
2) Mileage that is under the actual mileage will be treated in the same manner as mileage that is over the actual mileage.
3) Bonus points are each worth one half mile deducted from your ending mileage.
4) The bonus questions are in the order that they appear join the course, answers that are out of order will not count.
5) There is supposed to be a clue for every intersection. An intersection is any road that joins with the one you are on. The key is to match the clues up with each intersection.
6) Clues without numbers are not at intersections. They are just guides to let you know that you are on the right track. Some clues without numbers are at questionable dead-ends.
7) Checkpoints will remain open until 6PM. After that the directions will be left behind in a bag, under a rock. Please replace the rock after you have taken a paper.
8) A normal course is 50 to 70 miles long and takes five to six hours to complete, if done with a minimum of errors.
9) Obvious dead end roads usually to not have a clue for them. A mailbox at the end of the road probably means that it is a dead-end, but not always. 911 numbers usually indicate a driveway or a dead-end. Roads marked "drive, lane, place, private, trail or way" are also usually considered dead-ends.
10) The finish line will remain open until 7:30PM.
11) The refreshments will be served at Will Gilman's house. If you don't know the way, ask at the finish line or at Will's Store in downtown Chelsea, or call 685-4860. Please park in Button's Real Estate parking lot and walk over to the party.
12) The refreshments will last until everyone is accounted for or 8:00PM, whichever comes first.
13) Relax, take your time and enjoy the beautiful spring scenery!
14) The Roberts-Gould Athletic Field 100th Anniversary Restoration Project thanks you for your generous support!
